Selena Small

I’m Selena Small. For the past eight years I’ve worked inside a B2B SaaS scale-up, designing the systems that help an engineering team grow without breaking.

I speak at conferences on engineering leadership, delivery practices, and scaling teams. View my conference talks ↗

Most of my work sits between engineering and organisational design. I’ve built capability frameworks, shaped delivery practices, and coached emerging leaders through the kind of change that comes with scaling across new markets. The common thread is making complexity manageable before it becomes expensive.

Right now I’m going deeper on architecture, system design, and the leadership questions that AI-driven development is surfacing. I recently completed two years as a board observer at Infoxchange through the Observership Program.

This site is my systems library. Each piece documents how I think about a specific scaling problem.
